Delete your account

You can permanently delete your CampSpark account from the app at any time. Once deleted, data cannot be restored.

This action is permanent and irreversible

When you delete your CampSpark account, the following 7-step cascade executes immediately and automatically, in order:

  1. 1Cancels any active Razorpay subscription so you are not billed again.
  2. 2Removes your push notification token from our servers.
  3. 3Deletes all pings you have sent and received.
  4. 4Deletes all conversations and messages you participated in (also removed from the other person’s account).
  5. 5Deletes your user record from DynamoDB.
  6. 6Clears all locally cached data on your device.
  7. 7Deletes your AWS Cognito identity.

Some operational logs (for fraud prevention) and your billing records (for legal/tax purposes) may be retained for up to 90 days, but they cannot be linked to your identity after step 5.

How to delete your account in-app

    Open CampSpark on your phone

    Make sure you’re signed in with the account you want to delete.

    Go to the Settings tab

    Tap the gear icon in the rightmost tab of the bottom navigation.

    Tap Delete Account

    You’ll find it near the bottom of the Settings screen, in the Danger Zone section.

    Type "DELETE" to confirm

    This is a safety measure to prevent accidental deletion. Type the word DELETE in the confirmation field.

    Tap the Delete button

    The deletion cascade runs immediately. All 7 steps listed above execute in sequence within seconds.

    You’re signed out automatically

    Your account is gone. There is no recovery, no undo, and no grace period.

Can't access the app?

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@campspark.online with the subject line “Delete my account” from the email address you used to register. We will manually delete your account within 7 calendar days and confirm by reply.

A note on subscriptions

Deleting your account automatically cancels any active Razorpay subscription (step 1 of the cascade above). You will not be billed again. No partial refund is issued for the remaining days in the current billing cycle.

Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, there is no way to recover your profile, messages, pings, matches, or subscription. If you wish to use CampSpark again, you will need to create a brand-new account.
